AirPods 5 — in stores 18 September

Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 — in stores 18 September

• Apple Watch Ultra 4: from A$1,349 — 49mm titanium, satellite SOS, up to 50-hour battery claim.

iOS 27 and Siri AI — free update, rolling out now

• Release: Apple lists Monday 14 September 2026 globally. In Melbourne and Sydney that usually means the download appears in Settings early Tuesday 15 September, often between roughly 3:00am and 5:00am AEST — Apple does not publish an exact local time.
• Siri AI: ships as a beta in English on day one. Australia is outside the EU restriction, so English-speaking users get access at launch (French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish follow in October).
• Device support: iOS 27 installs on iPhone 11 and later. Siri AI and Apple Intelligence need an Apple Intelligence-capable phone — broadly iPhone 15 Pro / 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 series onward. The most advanced Siri AI tier is reserved for the newest Pro models and the Duo.

If you are on an iPhone 14 or older and mainly want Siri AI, you do not need a day-one 18 Pro — but you do need at least a 15 Pro or 16. If your phone is already a 16 Pro and doing the job, iOS 27 alone may be enough for now.

Who should buy what

Buy the iPhone 18 Pro if…

• You want the new camera stack and A20 Pro chip in a phone that still fits most pockets.

Buy the iPhone 18 Pro Max if…
